LocalCut (the "Site") takes your privacy seriously and follows applicable data protection laws. This policy explains what information the Site handles and how.

1. Files you process

Video, audio, image and subtitle files you open on the Site are processed only in your browser. Files and their contents are not sent to the Site's servers or to third parties, and the Site does not collect or store them. When you move from the home page to a tool page, the file is kept briefly in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) and deleted as soon as the tool page opens.

2. Information collected

The Site has no accounts and does not directly collect personal information such as your name or email address. However, the following information may be generated automatically or collected by third-party services.

• Web server access logs (IP address, browser type, time of visit): recorded by the hosting provider for security and operation.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used by the ad services described in section 3.
• Language setting: the language you choose is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This value stays only on your device.

3. Ads and cookies

The Site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. Google may use advertising cookies to show you personalized ads.

• You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
• You can opt out of other third-party vendors' cookies for personalized ads at www.aboutads.info.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and Switzerland are asked for cookie consent through a Google-certified consent management platform.

4. Files loaded from external sources

The Site loads fonts and video conversion engine files from external content delivery networks (jsDelivr, Google Fonts). These providers may receive connection information such as your IP address. Your files are not sent to these providers either.

5. Your rights

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The Site's tools still work if you block cookies.

6. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
