How to use

1. Drop a video file in the area above.
2. Drag on the thumbnail strip to select the part to keep. Use the white handles to adjust the start and end, or type the times.
3. To keep only part of the frame, pick a ratio under Crop above the video, then drag the box on the video to set its size and position.
4. Click Save edited video.

Fast vs. accurate

Fast copies the selected range without re-encoding. It finishes in seconds and keeps the original quality, but the start snaps to the nearest keyframe, so it may begin slightly earlier than you chose.

Accurate re-encodes the video so the cut matches your times exactly. It takes longer. Cropping or lowering the resolution always uses this mode.

Making shorts and reels

To turn a landscape video into a vertical short, pick 9:16 under Crop and move the box over your subject. Keep the original resolution for the sharpest result.
